Collaborative approaches and ecological network projects in Switzerland: where and when?

Where and when are ecological network projects established in Switzerland? This was a question that we asked ourselves and there was no clear answer.

Switzerland is a pioneer in collaborative approaches to agri-environmental schemes and has started implementing ecological network projects since 1994. We thus dug deep and gathered information on where and when these projects were started.

The result is a rich dataset of the current state of ecological network projects in Switzerland that is freely available for researchers and interested people to use.

As of the time of writing, we are updating the dataset to include historical developments of these projects for the cantons of Bern and Grisons.
